Last week, Mozilla began seeding Firefox 3.1 betas to developers. With so many features rumored to be added to Firefox 3.1, the one feature that many testosterone filled males can’t simply wait to have is the new Private Browsing Mode, also famously known as Porno Mode. With this feature, when activated, Firefox will dump all of your dirty history, download history, cache, saved passwords, searches, cookies, and many more as soon as you switch back to normal mode. Although many other browsers already have this feature, such as Safari, it is still an improvement that is long awaited for Firefox. There was one designer who suggested that Firefox should allow users to choose exactly what should be dumped, but it seems highly unlikely that this type of control will be included in Firefox 3.1. Most likely, we would have to wait till Firefox 4.

File this under the new to us category, though the site technically launched in July. Mygazines allows you to read fully scanned magazines online. Mobile Skype was previously only available on Smartphones like Windows Mobile, but they’ve just ported a Java version for all kinds of non-smart phones. Be aware that this isn’t like the previous iterations and even Skype to Skype calls cost money (or use up your minutes), so there’s no huge reason in using this to call someone you can easily call already. What it is useful for is calling overseas, since you use up regular minutes but only get charged SkypeOut rates instead of your exhorbitant cellphone international call rates

The Myka is what many Torrent fans have been waiting for—a device that makes it easy to download torrents and play them on your living room TV. You can connect to the internet via LAN or WiFi, it has HDMI, Composite, S-Video and SPDIF ports (nice), your choice of 80, 160 or 500 gigabytes (and USB expansion) and the Linux OS with pre-installed BitTorrent software. You can even transfer videos directly from your computer. Prices are going to fall between $299 and $459, which is more than the Apple TV, but something tells me that there is some built-in value there
